Elizabeth is a fashion brand consultant who has spent eight years helping brands with their manufacturing and marketing, through one-to-one work and group programmes. She came into 2026 with a successful business and one clear New Year’s resolution: spend less time on Zoom and enjoy her business even more.
“I know exactly what I need to do. I just need to be doing it.”
Credibility
Elizabeth started the year three months away from her first big in-person event, Fashion Marketing Live. She wanted more credibility offline and to future-proof her business at a time when everyone else is leaning into AI. Stepping out from behind her screen was well outside her comfort zone, but the event went so well that she’s running it again next year.
Scale
To spend less time on Zoom, Elizabeth reduced her one-to-one clients from 15 to 10 and replaced that income by growing her scalable offer. Clients who renew now get in-person sessions, which she enjoys as much as they do.
Enjoy
To enjoy her business more, Elizabeth launched a second podcast, The Shopping Forecast, alongside the Fashion Brand Clinic. It’s now one of her favourite parts of the business. She has also built sponsorship packages that combine her podcasts and her event.
“I just needed to get out of my spare room.”
The Role ON IT played
Elizabeth joined ON IT out of FOMO, but co-working turned out to be her favourite part. On Monday and Friday sessions she works through bite-sized tasks against the clock. In the run-up to her event, she joined four weeks in a row to work through a 300-line outreach list, 20 people per session, which made the knockbacks easier to take.
“It’s like saying you could just go to the gym, but you don’t. When you’ve got that personal trainer waiting for you at 10am, you turn up.”
Co-working is now a non-negotiable in her diary. She starts every week with an hour of focused work in the bank and goes into every weekend feeling relaxed.
