Liam is an online fitness coach who has been helping people around the world fix their relationship with fitness for six years. He moves clients away from quick fixes and all-or-nothing thinking towards results they can keep for life. In 2025, after a slow and disrupted first half, one mid-year call changed his year.
“I couldn’t tell you how perfect the timing was. Next week there’s a call, and that’s really going to turn this burst of motivation into consistent action.”
Pause
Liam joined ON IT full of enthusiasm, but between a three-week trip to Cape Town, weekends away and marathon training, he never settled into a work rhythm. His yearly planning kept getting pushed back, through Q1 and then into Q2. By June he realised he hadn’t signed a new client since March, and in online coaching, clients naturally come to the end of their time with you.
“I’d gone three or four months without signing a new client, and I hadn’t even realised.”
Reset
A week later came the ON IT mid-year review. Liam joined the call and was open with the group that he hadn’t been on a call for six months. He didn’t have yearly goals, so instead he set quarterly goals and intentions for the six months ahead. He also used extra resources to reconnect with his bigger vision.
Results
For Liam, working with around 20 clients at a time is a comfortable, sustainable level. In Q3, after the mid-year review, he signed 13 new clients, about two-thirds of his usual capacity in a single quarter.
“I’m taking control again. Being a bit more intentional with my time and not just letting the weeks fly by.”
The Role ON IT played
ON IT gave Liam external accountability and a structure he could step back into the moment he was ready. He went from feeling like he was “floating around in the wind” to taking the reins of his business again. In the August and September calls, he was back sharing his wins and progress with the community.
