Frankie is a content strategist who helps small business owners get visible online with confidence, through social media management, content creation and marketing strategy. After 15 years in corporate, she was made redundant and took her side hustle full time. She joined ON IT at the same time and is now in her second year with the programme.
“You can do anything, but not everything.”
Foundations
Frankie spent her first year in ON IT setting up the business and working out what it would be. She had a great year for clients and work, but came into 2026 with a few clients finishing and gaps in her income. She wasn’t sure where the business was heading, so in the January session she set herself realistic revenue goals.
Revenue
Frankie got clear on her services, deliverables and pricing, and she worked out exactly what she needed to sell to hit each target. A few content shoots, a set of strategy sessions or more recurring clients: she knew which to push and when. She has hit her revenue targets consistently, raising them slightly every couple of months.
“At the beginning of the year I did think, oh god, I don’t really know what I’m going to do.”
Vision
Having been thrown into running the business full time, Frankie now has the space to decide how she wants it to work for her. She knows she can’t keep working evenings and weekends, and that one-to-one work has a ceiling. So she has reshaped her services to reach more business owners, with big plans and a community in mind for 2027.
The Role ON IT played
Frankie uses co-working on purpose: Mondays for finances and numbers, Fridays for content and marketing. Checking in each week helps her spot gaps before they become problems. The monthly sessions reset her and remind her why she’s doing it, especially after a month spent mostly on client work. Celebrating wins alongside the challenges has given her the confidence to keep going.
“If I didn’t have ON IT, I’d think, I’ll do it next week. And it would never happen.”
